While going through the blogging 101 challenges, I have really started to think about my blog. About what I post and how its related to what my image is. This is who I am right?
However, I find myself thinking about what I post now to what I thought I was going to be posting when I singed up. I still really like ‘Life in the passenger’s seat’, but it was really for showing of my travel photos. I’m not doing that as much as I thought I would. Thats ok.
What I’m thinking about is a change of face. I’m finding I enjoy posting about my cooking adventures and while I have not posted on my crafting loves, I have photographed some of it with the intent to share. I just wasn’t sure if it would fit in with what I was currently doing.
I have been playing around with different themes and names and tags and what I want and who I am and… and… and I’m overloaded! 🙂
I want to cook and craft, and review and just ramble. Yea, thats what I want. So, soon I will have a make over and probably a new name, just not a new face.
Blogging 101: Love Your Theme
So today I get to use the ‘web page under construction’ image. Wow how retro. Be that as it may, I am looking at different themes as part of todays assignment.
Hehehe you won’t see much, but be assured it will happen. So I have looked at several themes as well as looking at some of those themes in active use to see how the customization differs from personality to personality. I ask you what it is it, even if it is just one tiny thing, that drew you to your theme?
Today’s assignment: write the post that was on your mind when you decided to start a blog.
A growing desire to talk to other people in other places. To exchange ideas and views. To share information. I’m not a hermit or a recluse, but I’m not “social butterfly”. I want this to be one of the balances.
I really do have something to say and someone somewhere will find interest in it even if I don’t think so at times. I have so much to learn… and share.
So I am really trying to take a hard look at whether my title and tag-line really reflect who I am. So I would ask that you all bear with me over the next few days, a week, as I play around with it.
An introduction to me:
I’m sitting here thinking on how I want to make an introduction post and that I would re-read the original ‘about me’ I wrote last July. I’m still that person, but there is more.
While I started this blog to show off my experiments in phone camera photography, I find myself posting about my becoming gluten-free and the differences between commercially available foods and cooking/baking your own. I have also started reviewing GF foods and asking my friends to tell me what they think about something so I can post it as well. This is a new direction I would like to take with this blog as well as my fanciful photography.
What I did not mention was that I had started this blog as a ways of writing down my feelings or whatever was happening with me. I did this instead of a journal because I knew that I would not write in a journal. I was, and still am, hoping that communicating with a live audience will motivate me to be more productive and responsive.
So, I’m going to add a new paragraph to my ‘about me’ page because I have discovered that the ride is happening, but the vesicle is life itself.
I hope you continue to enjoy the ride.
