My friend Bjorn and I were coming home from having dinner with her family tonight when we caught a rainbow in front of us. This is one of those moments that it really pays to be the passenger as I can take pictures.
Faint, but amazing.
So I’m snapping along hoping to get a really good one when it starts to rain. Just like that a second, more brighter, rainbow pops up. It was so cool and very pretty.
Suddenly even more rainbow awesomeness happened to left of the first one.
These are not great shots as the lighting was getting dark, but the rain effects on the windshield was pretty neat.
Rain was stopping.
Looking for that great one.
This one I liked a lot.
As the rain stopped again the brighter rainbow faded, then they were both gone. I haven’t seen a rainbow in a long time and Bjorn and I had a wonderful moment trying to get that one shot while bumping along freeway laughing and oohhhing and ahhhing.
Imagine my surprise and delight to get home and find that the WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge this week is : On the move.
While I did not publish this from my phone (still learning how to resize images on it), I did take the photos on my Samsung Galaxy.
Blogging 101: Love Your Theme
So today I get to use the ‘web page under construction’ image. Wow how retro. Be that as it may, I am looking at different themes as part of todays assignment.
Hehehe you won’t see much, but be assured it will happen. So I have looked at several themes as well as looking at some of those themes in active use to see how the customization differs from personality to personality. I ask you what it is it, even if it is just one tiny thing, that drew you to your theme?
What’s your biggest junk food weakness? Tell us all about it in its sugary, salty, glory.
The first thing I think of is Larry Groce’s ‘Junk Food Junkie’ released back in ’76. While I’m still a bit of a snacker, I’m not the junkie I was as a kid.
I think my most favorites are potato chips and pizza. Now, as some of you know, I went gluten free last year. If I could get a really, REALLY good pizza, I’d probably be in bad shape. As it is, pizza is ok, so I don’t eat it as much as I used to. Chips on the other hand… sigh. I love just plain ol salty chips. No flavors, just dippers. Lays classics and Ruffles classic are the best. Kettle style? Tim’s and Cape Code. The way they either just melt on the roof of your mouth or the crunch and snap. Its heaven.
An introduction to me:
I’m sitting here thinking on how I want to make an introduction post and that I would re-read the original ‘about me’ I wrote last July. I’m still that person, but there is more.
While I started this blog to show off my experiments in phone camera photography, I find myself posting about my becoming gluten-free and the differences between commercially available foods and cooking/baking your own. I have also started reviewing GF foods and asking my friends to tell me what they think about something so I can post it as well. This is a new direction I would like to take with this blog as well as my fanciful photography.
What I did not mention was that I had started this blog as a ways of writing down my feelings or whatever was happening with me. I did this instead of a journal because I knew that I would not write in a journal. I was, and still am, hoping that communicating with a live audience will motivate me to be more productive and responsive.
So, I’m going to add a new paragraph to my ‘about me’ page because I have discovered that the ride is happening, but the vesicle is life itself.
I hope you continue to enjoy the ride.
