The Daily Post asks:
Have you made your bucket list? Now’s the time — write about the things you want to do and see before you become dust in the wind.
Bucket list… Thats a big one.
- Climb Mt Fuji
- Stay in Japan for at least 30 days
- Take driving lessons
- Drive a Lotus Super Seven
- Tour Around the world
- Fly a hot air balloon
- Visit the International Space Station
- Meet Miki Shin’ichiro
That should enough for now. Bucket lists change with the wind for me. Who knows what I’ll want next week. Some of these are real achievable, some others not so much.
I really don’t think about it much.
Krista on March 27, 2014 asks: Are you full of confidence or have you ever suffered from Imposter Syndrome? Tell us all about it.
As some of you know, I work in the apartment complex I live in. About 50% of the time I spend talking to residents I feel like the great pretender. I’m not lying to them, but as an employee (as well as a resident) I have to be extra mindful about what I say… and to whom.
I can’t just blow off steam about someone, or gossip, or anything like that. No, I have to be able to re-assure and help them, even when I want to beat the living crap out of them.
I failed today. I yelled at a resident who should not be living here as all they have done is cause problem with other residents. Tomorrow will be better.

What’s the household task you most dislike doing? Why do you think that is — is it the task itself, or something more?
I really hate the laundry as a chore, not the laundry itself. I live in an apartment and now that I’m on a floor that does not have a laundry room I have to shelp everything upstairs and then back down stairs.
We have a new laundry contract and the new dryers only give you 50 min instead of 60. You may think 10 min is not that big a deal, but it can make a whole lot of difference to the drying of heavier things like jeans. I have also discovered that I don’t care to carry my basket. I need on of those wheeled things… yea thats it 🙂
Daily Prompt: Those dishes…
Michelle w., for the Daily Prompt on January 8, 2014 , asked us to:
Describe your personal style, however you’d like to interpret that — your clothing style, your communication style, your hair style, your eating style, anything.
Photographers, artists, poets: show us STYLE.
I think for me I would have to say that my personal dress style would a masculine look with a feminine feel. The best example of this I can give is that I love button-ups and I prefer pinstripes and solids. Add to that a string of pearls with matching earrings and a bracelet.
I wear everything from silver to semi-precious stones with blue jeans and t-shirts. In a day and age where fashion trends seem to be whatever you want them to be I am finding that I do not need to sacrifice comfort and functionality to be a lady.
Write about a noise — or even a silence — that won’t go away. (We’ll let you interpret this in different ways…)
Annual inspections. Yup that is the one. A Source of Anxiety!
I live in public housing and as such I am required to have an annual inspection of my home to make sure I am abiding by the rules and regulations. Ok, I’m cool with that. However when inspection time comes around, I start to stress and wig and OMG!
What makes this really funny is that I have lived in this building for 13 years at Christmas! 13! 13 annual inspections I have passed. 13 yeas of little changes I have been asked to do and I have done. 13 years and 6 Property Managers with out incident. And the cherry on top? I took a job working in my complex 3 years ago. Why does this still nerve me? *shrug*
My current AI is Thursday…. OMG!
